The edited text is the first complete collection of works by Jean-Jacques Rousseau, in 17 volumes, in 4to, published in Geneva between 1780 and 1789. This edition is also known as the Du Peyrou and Moulton edition, the name of two friends of Rousseau who led his manuscripts to publication.
