Rosalis – Bibliothèque numérique de Toulouse

Rosalis – Bibliothèque numérique de Toulouse gives access to about 60.000 documents and 6 million images. These are divided into 9 collections and the category ‘Espace presse régionale.’ Rosalis’ collection is open: users can suggest digitizations of their own valuable documents, or suggest specific documents from the library of Toulouse. The website also contains a collaborative encyclopedia about the digitized documents, entitled ‘Rosalipédie.’

Basic and advanced search are possible. Under ‘Exploratoire’, various ways to browse the material are available. ‘Nos collections’ gives access to a series of thematic collections: ‘Agatange’, ‘Chine’, ‘Enfantina’, ‘Enluminures’, ‘Langue d’Oc’, ‘Photographies anciennes’, ‘Presse régionale’, ‘Pyrénées’, ‘Toulouse et sa région’, and ‘Trésors.’ Another series of collections can be found under ‘Nos albums.’

Various types of items are available, such as books, manuscripts, maps, images, newspapers, journals, sheet music, and audio. Images are accompanied by extensive metadata. They can be downloaded in JPEG format.
