Retrodigitized journals - SEALS

Retrodigitized journals – SEALS is a platform for digitized Swiss journals from the fields of science and culture. In December 2014, the earliest journals on the website dated back to the early 18th century. Current issues are constantly added to the range. All journals on the platform are freely accessible, although, depending on the agreement with the individual publisher, there may be an embargo for more recent issues. In December 2014 there were 276 journals, with a total of almost 10.000 volumes, almost 377.000 articles, and over 3,5 million pages.

Users can search in a number of ways: basic search in the full text of the journals, advanced search, or browse by classification, collection, title, author, or year of publication. Single pages and entire articles can be downloaded as PDF files. Optical Character Recognition (OCR) offers support in Antiqua or Gothic script.
