Renascence Editions - An Online Repository of Works Printed in English Between the Years 1477 and 1799
An online archive of Early Modern English texts created by the University of Oregon. The archive contains non-fiction, literature and poetry and ranges from the works of Shakespeare to various proclamations by Queen Elizabeth I. The texts are not scholarly editions but mostly transcribed versions of 19th and early 20th century editions. They can be downloaded in PDF-format. The Project Gutenberg Consortia Center presenting the Renascence Editions Collection warns users about the fact that "these texts have been produced with care and attention, but are not represented by the publisher as scholarly editions in the peer-reviewed sense".
