Lyrikline is an international website focusing on contemporary poetry from the entire world. It contains international poetry, both recited by the authors themselves, and as texts in their original languages and translations into various languages. The project has been ongoing since 1999, and new poets and translations are added regularly. In March 2015 Lyrikline contained 1020 poets, 9214 poems, in 62 languages, and with 13253 translations.

Various browse options are available: by poet, country, language, translation, genre & aspect, issue, and poetic forms & terms. Basic search in the entire collection is also possible. Each poem is accompanied by a short introduction about the author.

The website is freely accessible and no registration is required, but by registering it becomes possible to bookmark poems, create lists of favourites, and share them with other users.

Lyrikline is created by Literaturwerkstatt Berlin in cooperation with its international network of lyrikline partners (in March 2015 there were 42 international partners). Since 2002 the project has been under the auspices of the German Commission for UNESCO.
