Criminocorpus - Bibliothèque

Criminocorpus is a French website about the history of justice, crimes, and punishment. One of the items on this website is the Bibliothèque, which contains various collections (coming from both public and private collections) of digitized primary sources about the history of justice.

The material dates from the 15th century until the present day. A large variety of sources is available, such as edicts, photographs, correspondence, prints, complaints, videos of interviews with experts on the topic, parliamentary debates.

The digital material can be accessed through a list of the collections. Extensive information is provided for each source. Images are shown in high definition. Zoom options are available. Each separate page can be downloaded in JPEG format.

Criminocorpus has been made in partnership with various institutions. The digital library has been made in partnership with the Centre de ressources historiques pour l’histoire des crimes et des peines of the École Nationale d’Administration Pénitentiaire and the BU-Santé.
