Rijksmuseum Digital Collection

The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam has made digital reproductions of more than 280.000 paintings, prints, drawings and objects of its collection available online, ranging from statues from the Romanesque period to art from the Dutch Golden Age, all the way through to paintings from the 19th century 'school of the Hague' and the COBRA-movement of the 20th century. This digital collection can be browsed, using different criteria (kind of object, chronology, name artist, etc.) or searched systematically using a detailed search mask with several search fields regarding the artist/maker, information about objects, materials, subjects, dates, and exhibition information.

The images are displayed in the browser, with zoom function, detailed catalogue descriptions, and several options for sharing on the web. Registered users can download images for free.
