Repertorium deutscher wissenschaftlicher Periodika des 18. Jahrhunderts
The Interdisciplinary Center for Science and Technology Studies (IZWT) of the Bergische Universitaet Wuppertal has created the Repertorium deutscher wissenschaftlicher Periodika des 18. Jahrhunderts" (Repertory of German scientific periodicals of the 18th century). The Repertory has been conceived as an instrument for research on the history and philosophy of science and technology during the Enlightenment. It contains the table of contents of most 18th century periodicals that published scientific articles and/or reviews in the German speaking countries. These include the (Nova) Acta Eruditorum, periodicals published under the auspices of Academies of Science and early professional journals. List of the online digitised Academies publications :
  • Académie Royale des Sciences et Belles-Lettres à Berlin (Berlin, from 1710 to 1804)
  • Academia Scientiarum Imperialis Petropolitana (Petersburg, from 1726 to 1806)
  • Societatis Scientiarum Regiae Gottingensis (Göttingen, from 1751 to 1808)
  • Societas physico-medica (Basel, from 1751 to 1787)
  • Academia Scientiarum Electoralis Moguntina Utilium (Erfurt, 1757 to 1804)
  • Electoral-Baier Academy of Sciences (Munich, from 1763 to 1797)
  • Academia Scientiarum et Electoralis Elegentiarum literarum Theodoro-Palatina (Mannheim, Palatinate, from 1766 to 1790)
  • A total of over 400 volumes and more than 13.000 articles have been made accessible in this project. The journals can be browsed by publication or searched using more advanced search terms.
