The Records of the Parliaments of Scotland to 1707

The Records of the Parliaments of Schotland to 1707 (RPS) is a database containing the proceedings of the Sottisch parliament from the first suriving act of 1235 to the union of 1707. It includes new parliaments, conventions of estates, committee records, parliamentary minutes, and additional material. The proceedings of the pre-1707 Scottish parliament are fully cited and an extensive editorial apparatus is included. There is a parallel translation of the original Latin, French, and Scottish texts into English. A large amount of information on the pre-1707 Scottish parliament is also available.

It is possible to do an advanced search. It is also possible to browse by reign. Texts are shown in modern edition.

This is a project of the University of St Andrews.
