Margaret Thatcher Foundation
The Margaret Thatcher Foundation's web site offers "free access to the full texts of thousands of documents relating to the politics of the last quarter of a century". The website is divided in various sections:
  • Archive: "The Archive section [...] contains more than a thousand documents–most of them declassified or previously unpublished–relating to Margaret Thatcher's personal and political life, from childhood onwards. Many of the documents derive from MT's private papers in Cambridge, which are now open for study ..." following the 30 years rule. Other sources include US Presidential Libraries (Ford, Carter, Reagan & Bush) and the National Archives (TNA) in London. Most of the documents are images of the originals, in PDF format.
  • Speeches, interviews, etc.: Complete listing of every public statement by Margaret Thatcher 1945-90, and texts of most, plus a selection since.
  • Multimedia: Video and audio items from British and American sources.
  • Chronology: Comprehensive timeline of events in Margaret Thatcher's life & career.
  • Commentary: Journalism, book extracts & pamphlets.
In addition to the database categories, there is also a brief biography, a short reading list & chronology of key events.
