Manifesti politici. Banca data sul manifesto politico e sociale contemporaneo is a website about political and social posters in contemporary Italian and international history, from the 1880s until the present day. The website also includes some political and social pamphlets and postcards. There are also photographs of posters in their original environment in some Italian cities. The material includes items such as voting propaganda, communication of local organizations, works of important Italian graphic designers, works made by youth movements, works from Latin America and various European countries, etcetera. The website was founded in 2000, and in October 2015 it contained over 12.000 items (new items are regularly added). These come from a variety of collections form Italy, Europe and the rest of the world.

Basic and advanced search are possible, as well as browsing by author, title, or subject. Search results can be filtered by type, collection, author, year, and language. There are also some thematic collections, about Enrico Berlinguer, Che Guevara, Giuseppe Garibaldi, peace, and women.

Images can be downloaded in JPEG format. They are accompanied by extensive metadata.

‘Manifesti politici’ is a website of the Fondazione Gramsci Emilia-Romagna, with the contribution of the Italian Ministery of Culture and Tourism, the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, and the Istituto per i beni artistici culturali e naturali.
