Les manuscrits de Stendhal

Les manuscrits de Stendhal provides access to the manuscripts of the French writer Stendhal (1783-1842) -real name Henri Beyle- that are kept at the Bibliothèque municipale of Grenoble. The website contains digital images of the pages, together with a linear transcription, a pseudo-diplomatic transcription, and a description.

In December 2014, 2.571 pages were present. They are divided in volumes, corpora, and documents. In addition, there are some thematic collections. Basic search on the entire website is possible. Works can be viewed either by single page or in their entirety. They are shown in high definition.

The project is the result of a collaboration between the city of Grenoble, Université Stendhal – Grenoble 3, and MSH-Alpes.
