La Repubblica Romana del 1849
The Databank La Repubblica Romana del 1849 (The Roman Republic 1849, Italy) contains a large collection of documents (newspapers, pamphlets, flags, bulletins, manuscripts and letters, together with the Giuseppe Spada fund) from the Biblioteca di Storia Moderna e Contemporanea (Modern and Contemporary History Library) about the Roman Republic of 1849. The documents are covering the period between the election of Pie IX at the papal function and his definitive return to Rome. This is a project of the Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali (Ministry of Heritage and Culture) realized with the collaboration of the Biblioteca di Storia Moderna e Contemporanea and the special project for the celebration of Italy's 150th Birthday on the 17th of march 2011: “1861-2011-I luoghi della memoria, 150e anniversario dell’Unità d’Italia”. From the home page it is possible to select different types of documents or fund, as well as accessing the search mode (simple or advanced) to browse all documents. Each fund containing digitized primary sources can be also browsed individually. The digitized documents are viewable by clicking their titles.
