Intangible search. Inventario del patrimonio immateriale delle regioni alpine

Intangible search. Inventario del patrimonio immateriale delle regioni alpine is an online inventory regarding the intangible cultural heritage of the Alpine region between Italy and Switzerland. The project does not focus only on monuments and collections of objects, but also includes traditions, such as oral traditions, performing arts, social practices, rituals, festive events, knowledge and practices concerning nature and the universe, or knowledge and skills to produce traditional crafts.

In December 2015, 264 documents were available. Each document consist of information regarding the topic in question, accompanied by some primary sources such as photographs or video material. The material is continuously updated by both organizations and individuals.

The material can be browsed in various ways: by title, by author, by tag, by area (Lombardy, Piedmont, Aosta Valley, Trentino-Alto Adige, Ticino, Graubünden, Valais), and category (arts and entertainment, oral traditions, rituals, naturalistic knowledge, and technical knowledge). Basic search in the entire collection and search by map are also possible.

‘Intangible search’ is powered by the Italian region of Lombardy in collaboration with national and international partners.
