FRANKLIN – Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum

FRANKLIN provides access to the digitized collections of the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum. Digitization of the library’s collections is ongoing.

In May 2015 over 700.000 pages of archival documents and 2.500 photographs were available in digital format. There are also detailed descriptions of archival collections not yet digitized. Already available digital material includes Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt’s New Deal and wartime correspondence with world leaders, government administrators, and regular Americans. Photographs include public domain images of the Roosevelts throughout their respective lifetimes, as well as subject areas like the Great Depression, New Deal, and World War II.

It is possible to search the material by keyword or to browse the full lists of digitized archival folders. Some thematic collections are also available. The scanned documents can be downloaded in PDF format. Images are accompanied by metadata and can be downloaded in JPEG format.
