The digital library of the Max Planck Institute for Legal History in Frankfurt offers access to several collections that are of interest to legal historians:

Private Law
Secondary literature and sources relating to German, Austrian and Swiss private and trial law of the 19th century (4.316 volumes, 1,35 million pages).

Journals
Legal journals from the 19th century (1.320 volumes, 635.752 pages).

Dissertations
Legal dissertations from the 16th-18th centuries from various German universities of the 'Old Empire' (74.010 records / 72.690 titles, more than 92.000 images).
