Brahms-Institut – Digitales Archiv

The Brahms-Institut, part of the Musikhochschule Lübeck, focuses on the German composer Johannes Brahms (1833-1897). It possesses a collection of sheet music, letters, photographs, and other sources about Brahms and his milieu. In its Digitales Archiv a part of its collection has been made available online, such as photographs, first and early editions of Brahms’ works, concert programs, autographs, letters, first editions of works about Brahms, and some personal documents of Brahms. In December 2014 almost 30.000 items were available.

The documents are sorted according to theme. Extensive information is provided for each item. Items are shown one page at a time, in high definition.
