The Blue Mountain Project is a digital thematic research collection focusing on periodicals about art, music, and literature, that were published between 1848 and 1923. A variety of languages and countries from Europe and the Americas are represented. In November 2014, 35 journals were present. In total there were over 2400 issues, comprising over 56.000 pages and almost 60.000 articles.
Both basic and advanced search options are available. It is also possible to browse by title or date. The journals are shown in digitized version. When a user clicks on an article, in a separate column an OCR-generated transcription appears. Zoom options are available. Images are shown in high resolution and can be downloaded in PDF format.
The Blue Mountain Project is one of the Princeton University Library Digital Initiatives (PULDI).
