Biblioteca digitale - Firenze
The Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale di Firenze, BNCF (National Library of Florence, Italy) has undertaken the digitalization of part of its collections. Three digitized collections are fully available online: - The Rare Manuscripts collections: for example, the Messale Ottoniano del X secolo, the manuscript Palatino 556, the trattati di architettura di Filarete, o di Francesco di Giorgio Martini or the Parte terza del libro di ingegneria di Mariano di Jacopo detto il Taccola, and Zibaldone di Lorenzo Ghiberti.

- The “Galileiano” fund is important for the story of science between the 17th and the 18th century. Users will find the Galileo’s working and private writings, and manuscripts of Galileo’s disciples (Castelli, Cavalieri, Torricelli, Viviani), and finally the manuscripts and journals of the Accademia del Cimento.

- The 18th & 19th century Maps: nautical maps, military maps and geographical maps. The digital library is progressively updated. The manuscripts collection can be search by keyword in the OPAC version at the bottom of the home page. It is also possible to consult the different funds on the right-hand side of the home page.
