Archivio globale della Maremma
The Archivio Globale della Maremma is the digital platform of the Chelliana Library in Grosseto, Tuscany, Italy. The available documents (photo's, magazine, postcards, and others) cover a wide range of topics. They can be searched by date, subject or title; or by using the free text search option. It is also possible to search only within a specific collection of sources. These collections have been organized under several headings:
  • Archivio dei Periodici: A selection of local newspapers from the second half of the 19th century (L’Ombrone, Il Telegrafo – Il Tirreno and Il Gabellino)
  • Archivio della Riforma Fondiaria: A collection of approximately 6000 photographs that document the transformations in the country side during the 50s and 60s.
  • Archivio Ferretti: A collection of photographs that documents folklores and tradition of the Maremma region, made by Robert Feretti between 1974 and 1984.
  • Archivio Gori: A collection of about 3000 photo's from the photo studio Gori, an agency that has long operated in the Maremma documenting the landscape and daily life in Grosetto.
  • Archivio delle Cartoline: A collection of hundreds of vintage postcards that were printed in the province of Grosseto, depicting monuments, landscapes and views of the Maremma in the late nineteenth to the mid twentieth century.
  • Fondo Corsini: Files related to the writer Giuseppe Corsini.
  • Fondo Lazzaretti: Files related to the Italian preacher.
