Archivio della Latinità Italiana del Medioevo (ALIM)

Archivio della Latinità Italiana del Medioevo (ALIM) has as its aim to offer free access to all of the Latin texts that were written in Italy during the Middle Ages. In August 2014, texts from the 11th-13th centuries were available.

The texts can be browsed by name of author, period, genre (hagiography, comedy, epic poetry, letters, philosophy, gnomes, grammar, lyrics, liturgy, rhetoric, historiography, theology), or type of writing (prose, verse, prosimetrum). Basic search in the entire collection is also possible. Texts are shown in modern edition and can be downloaded as Word documents.

The project is supported by the Unione Accademica Nazionale. It is financed by the Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca Scientifica e Tecnologica, the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, the Unione Accademica Nazionale, and the universities of Milan, Naples, Palermo, Venice, and Verona.
